Kelly’s primary expertise lies in representing public entities, including cities, townships and schools, as well as private business entities in matters of company formation and development, on-going business consultation, labor representation and personnel matters, land use and acquisition/ sale, licensing and regulation, meeting and actions, litigation and more. As a business owner and City Attorney, Kelly understand the nature of business and there envitable relationship with municipal and state governements.
In addition, she provides guidance and direction to private individuals and families in the areas real estate and estate planning. Born and raised in Ely, her practice regularly consists of residential real estate transactions, with particular focus lakeshore acquisition and development. As for estate planning, Kelly works with clients to ensure that their wishes are met and that the will or trust estate plan, is properly carried out. She routinely prepares both simple and complex trusts, wills, health care directives, financial powers of attorney, and beneficiary designations for life insurance and retirement plans.
